Hello
there. My name is Fiawna and I'm in love with music. My entire life all
I've wanted to do was write songs. Well..other than my hopes of being
a professional basketball player which soon shattered. For a long time
I just planned on selling everything I wrote and living in my parents
closet, but then this guy in LA convinced me otherwise. Which I'm now
very thankful for.
I was born in a wee little town in Florida
close to the border of Georgia named Lake City. but we lived in Live
Oak. I was born into a Johnny Cash and blue grass influenced family.
Love it. When I was 5 my dad passed away and we moved to Tulsa, OKlahoma,
where I grew up and currently reside. Through my young years I recorded
a collection of EPs (currently out of Print). During that time period
my family created I Cried Too, a grief recovery project
for the kids who lost parents on 9-11.
I then formed a folk band with
my brother, Blake, called Silence Dugood. (Not after the movie, National
Treasure but Franklin himself. Though we changed the O to a U) Something
Cool, we got to go to the grammys in 2006 which is when McCartney made
his grammy debut. Yes...I cried. Then I went through a period of occasionally
playing with my friend Mason Remel, singing some jazz, blues, jazz, folk,
jazz, and some jazz, and after meeting the fellers to be mentioned below
I decided to start a rock band. I like playing card games, cream soda,
the banjo, watching old late night games shows, and irish jigs. Okay,
enough about me. Below are the fellers who make my life so much better.
This is Phillip Hanewinkel. He plays bass in my band. Phillip was born
in the big, pink hospital in Tulsa, OK. He is the baby of NINE! Holy
Cow is right! He likes root beer, pumpkin pie, Elvis Costello, the color
blue, a little band called The Beatles, collecting records, Jimmie Stewart,
eating manicotti with Lance, classic art, and lots of other stuff. He
writes some amazing songs under the name "Number Nine." And
he's my best friend.
This
is Hank III. He was named after his father, who was named after his father,
Henry Charles Hanewinkel. But I call him 'The Animal." He's
killer on a drum set. Hank was also born in the big, pink hospital in
Tulsa and is Phillips nephew. Hank leads the band The Red Alert. Check
them out here. Hank likes graphic design, screen
printing, Jack White, Chili's Southwestern Egg rolls, the iphone, and
photography.
And
last but not least, Lance Howell, who happens to be my baby cousin. He's
one amazing guitarist. He was the last addition to the band and helped
make my life complete. Lance, like myself was born in Lake City, Florida
and lived near us in Live Oak. Though he grew up in Echols County, Georgia
and went to a little, country town school and soon became prom king.
(In a class of 32) I attended his prom. But not with him...with our second
cousin, Michael. Lance likes Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, cream soda (as
do I), traveling, eating manicotti with Phillip, writing songs, and lots
more stuff I can't think of right now. Lance also happens to be my 1st
AND 3rd cousin...it's really not gross, I promise. Lance told me to add
that... he likes good times. (not the TV show)
